Has never lived the life of a mum with 2 children under 3 lol ..I never stop!

I havent been doing much felt cooking as of late, got lots cut out and lots of ideas down but pattern design or acquire hasnt been high on my to-do list. Did finish off the cupcakes I started and just need to take a pic and upload it. They will be for sale a set of 2 for $10.

Instead I have finally helped a friend out and designed some swing tags for her SAHM business 'The Sweetest Thing'. You can access her stuff here .. its gorgeous!!!
I (by that I mean Adi and I) have heaps of her non-slip hair clips and they work GREAT!. Adi has really thin hair and they stay put - as long as she doesnt fiddle lol. I have been using them in mine as well :) .. saves having to style it each day.

Here are the swing tags I made for her, she couldnt decide between the 3 different fronts for it (I like the one with the butterflys,blue sky & clouds!). What do you think ??

I have just purchased a new feltfood book from here with lots of instructions & ideas in it. Cant wait to have a chance to create some goodies out of it for my lil miss. Some crafty goodness ..

Have been doing a fair bit of scrapping for the challenge I entered at Blue Bazzar and have been perusing all sorts of websites in the past few weeks looking for inspiration.

Came across this one and had to let you know!
Soo many lovely ideas and soo many beautiful colours! ..

On other fronts, the kitchen is ordered and we should be getting a call in the next week to pick it up. WE got an excellent price for a gas oven, gas hotplates and brand new sink from someone that hubby knows. Those 3 items for $800! .. Thats less than the cost for the oven alone .. they are all brand new, still in plastic and just never got put into the house they were purchased for 4 years ago.. so now they will be in mine.

I have put some of my felt food up in the madeit store as well as offered my digi services for the making of invites/cards/business cards/leaflets/swing tags or whatever you want .. if your interested let me know :)

Yes, we went. Actually it was quite a good concert. Very funny and funnily (or not!) most of the parents in the audience knew all the words to their songs! lol
Cyclone Adison LOVED it as did her friend Kiah who along with her mum Michelle (hi guys!! **waves**) came with us.

The girls are both around the same age and both loved it. Even today, 4 days later she still talks about it constantly and about going out for the day with mummy, Michelle & Kiah. Soo cute. Soo pleased that we all went together and sat together too.

whatelse .. I have signed up for Crop Bootcamp over at Blue Bazaar. The object is to complete 25 layouts. They provide sketches and basically all I need is time to scrap.. anyone know where I can buy this from (they dont seem to sell it) .. while on the subject an extra set of arms with hands attached! wouldnt be a bad idea ..

The info is a PDF so I can print it out and attach the sketches to a 12x12 baggie with all bits in it. Yes I am usually that organised lol. I have to be to survive. if you want to do it as well you MUST go sign up on their scrapping forums here to be officially in the challenge.

I am looking forward to doing this! Have got some ideas already and with it being Tuesday. Adison is at 'school' so Boonty will sleep lots without her to keep him awake lol so I can scrap lol -- woohoo!!

We are also a step closer to our kitchen being produced. The guy came and did the final measure last week and we finalised some stuff for it. Now to just wait and see the final plan for it be emailed back and then wait 4 weeks .. cant wait. Ohh I cant wait to have a new kitchen, a stove that works and if I am lucky my red kenwood mixer all at the same time. Good Guys are going to love us when we come to buy!! lol

Okay.. time to start prepping challenge kits.. that is after I go put a load of washing on and have some lunch!

Things I am loving at the moment ..

The peace & quiet with both lil people tucked up into their beds for the night Well one for the whole night (till 8am at least!) and the other until 3am :) and then again until 8am :) ..

Being back in South Aust and having the opportunity to drool at IKEA whenever the whim takes me. 45 mins in the car is much nicer than 3+hours in Melbourne.

Scrapbooking ..

That hubby did 160km y.day as part of the TDU from Norwood to Goolwa. It was a long day and he has very sore calves (mmm calves) and a sore lower back. Soo proud of him!

My lil man growing everyday and exploring all that he can with his belly shuffle along the floor and seeing him in the walker move to be where sissy is.

Hayden's fascination with the cat.. and ohh and his bits - and yes I know that wont change. ever.

Miss A learning more and more everyday .. she is soo social and clever. She scares me. Really have to watch our p's & q's more closely lol.

Sunshine and lots of it. MCN washing (yes, for 2 kids!) and having it dry in no time at all.

Seeing Miss A 'mother' Hayden when I am out of the room :) .. its very cute but she is yet to learn the art of gentle. "If he doesnt want his dummy you can just force it in like you can with your dolly!"

The Tour Down Under .. gotta love a nice set of calves. Did I tell you my hubby is a cyclist ?? lol ..

Chocolate Rum Balls (minus the rum) .. way to yummy and easy to eat in one sitting!

Icecubes.. helps to relieve stress (for me anyway) and helps with the heat lol

Ohh and these 2 pics.. they never fail to bring a smile to my face.

I am sure there is plenty more but thats enough for now .. what are you loving .. and please dont say McDonalds! :p

yes I have been a tad absent. Its been way to long but I am back!

Quick update ..
I have been pregnant and now have a 6 month old lil boy Hayden (boonty as we call him)
as well as my ever cyclonic 2 1/2 year old Adison.

We have been posted and are now back living in South Australia. We moved back into the place we already own here and are mid-renovations. You will hear lots about them in the weeks & months to come. We (by that I mean hubby & fil - I bailed out with the kids to escape the noise & mess lol) have already jackhammered up all the slate floor in the house (over 60sqm of it) and sanded it all back with a floor sander type thing and have laid the majoirty of the light coloured ceramic floor tiles. The new kitchen is about to be ordered and then comes double glazed sliding doors, new bathroom vanities & fixtures and loads more. Ohh and a picket fence around the pergola area so the lil folk have somewhere outside to go on wet days other than under mummys feet.

I admit that I miss my life in Sale. We had lots of great friends there (Hi Everyone!!! I miss you!1) and a fairly good social life for Miss A (playgroups, friends, child care). It has been a tad diffucult having to find it all again but we have and are. We are going to start playgroup at Salisbury Heights Playgroup in Feb and go to music hour and reading hour at the library each week as well. There is always the local kids play centre 'kids Bidz' if we need something to do.

I have been a tad busy. I didnt realise that life would change so much with 2 lil people to care for. Especially one that is too much like her mummy was at the same age - payback is what I can hear you all saying!.. she never stops - even when I remove her batteries!

I still make felt food. Mostly its just easy stuff (fruit, vegies, cookies & tarts)In fact just this morning I purchased with the hope of making it in time for xmas! (hey, I this gorgeous gingerbread house instruction booklet can only dream!).
You can buy the instructions for yourself as I wont be making 2 of them lol

I am scrapping again, with 2 little subjects to focus it on and lots of things on my todo list.. I am organised and trying to do a few layouts as week. I am covetting the below furniture from IKEA so I can have a space that is lockable from sticky & often grubby little fingers (and prying eyes if it gets too messy!) .. just got to talk hubby into letting me spend $618ish on it.

So nuff for now .. I hear a lil person now calling out 'Adi awake' .. I know full well she didnt have a nap (could hear the noise from the other end of the house she was making!) so this afternoon will be great meltdown material. Going to make some vegetable fritters with her (seeing as my oven doesnt work, and I wont be getting it fixed but will get new appliances with the new kitchen - yahhoo!!) it can be difficult for things to cook that dont require cooking.

Ohh and its 36 deg outside today .. the evap air is on and its cool & cozy inside :)

enough already!

I have had it up to my head and beyond with ignorant people and with people who take their kids to kids places when they are sick!

For the last 4 weeks A has been battling on & off with colds. A runny nose constantly, at one point a dry cough and no appetite. AND NOW she is back on the mend only for her to have some sort of vomitting bug for most of the day!

It wouldnt be so bad but today was her day at day care and my day of sanity but that was not to be with her vomitting episides today! .. yucho!

She is still her usual happy hyper self and doesnt seem to care to much. Is eating anything that I give her (arrowroot biscuits, cream cheese sanger, sultanas, bits of left over silverside meat). I was soo looking forward to a sanity day but Murphy just isnt on my side at the moment so I should have known better than to get my hopes up!

On the bright side, she has a few new words now and is just happy to play and isnt at all clingy.

Onto a different topic .. when will people realise that cloth nappies are not like they were a gazillion years ago ??? .. other MCN users know what I mean by this. You dont need copius amounts of nappy-san, you dont need to soak them for a day before you wash and they are not hard work.

Just rinse (if needed) place in a bucket and when you have enough put a load of nappies into the wash machine. Get with it people!! .. and if one more person says to me 'ohh, you are such a good mum for using cloth - I couldnt do that' I think I may have to slap said person. Or if I hear 'ohh I am on tank water' It would be too hard .. think again people its really simple and uses no more water than a load of washing every few days and a fluch of a toilet! If it was hard work, I wouldnt do it I am too lazy for anything that involves more work that I need.

Has been a lovely few days here with the Spring Sun finally making an appearance. A and I have been spending time in the yard eating dirt (well okay she eats the dirt and I pretend not to notice as she puts handfulls of it in her mouth) and playing with the ball. I am trying to teach her to roll the ball to me but all she wants to do right now is just run away with it.

Just a lil something while I dont have a cling-wrap kid in my arms and while I can sit down.

I made the decision last month to relist my felt food on a few places and get some $$. was missing my felt sewing and this will give me the excuse I need to make more and create new items when I have time.

I checked out ebay, monkeys undies and etsy and then remembered about a website I had known of for a while and finally had sometime today to check it out. Its very etsy looking BUT its better lol.

So I took the leap and listed some stuff. You basically buy credits and use these to pay for your listing fees - upfront and then get to work listing items.

The listing fees are really small and it is relatively simple to set-up and sell. I like it as its not as crazy as Etsy and you dont get lost amongst the zillions of other people who are all peddling their wares on there as well.

Check it out when you get a chance .. its pretty new & easy to use. Ohh and payment is in AUD so there is no conversion happenning and my listings I added today are open until 18 Dec so you dont have to go in and relist them all the time! - a big time saver! ..

other news Adison had her 2nd day at Child Care last Thursday and LOVED IT! .. I spoke to one of the carers this morning and she told me that A basically follows the bigger kids around all day and wants to be doing what they are. She commented on how interested she is in everything (how could she not be with parents like us ?? lol) and how she doesnt sleep all day. She really does crash when she gets home. She has to be into everything and with everything. No seperation anxiety at all - she more or less says 'buy mum, dont let the door hit you on the way out' when I drop her off.

Tomorow I am off to a StampinUp! workshop at a friends place, cant wait to have a play and hopefully see a new catty other than the online copy I have from the US.

Adison's 1st Birthday

This post has been sitting in my draft box since July 13th (the day of her party) as I just hadnt gotten around to putting the montage together of some of the birthday pictures.

As you can see from the pics, a good day was had by all. It was fairly low-key. Just a BBQ at home with a few friends from mums group and some friends from the LG Cycling Group. We had a yummy mud cake that was ordered from Woolies bakery and lots of BBQ things and fun. The weather was fairly good for most of the day, just a tad cold 12 deg.

My parents drove over from Sydney for the weekend. They left Sydney at 6pm on Friday night and were here by Saturday Morning at 6am with a few stops. They then left Sunday Morning for the return trip. I think they spent more time in the car than they did here and we hope their next visit will be a bit longer and a bit more substantial as they will be on long service leave!

We got the Birthday Pack from the toy library for the weekend to keep all the little ones entertained so we had the castle, a tunnel they could crawl through, a car to sit on and a few other things. They had a ball, we enjoyed watching them and chatting while we watched them all.

As you can see from the pictures, Adison enjoyed her piece of cake immensley and covered herself, the highchair and her head with cake crumbs!

On the homefront and scrapping front, I am about half way through a 12x12 LO that shows Adi's milestones till now. I just cant work out how I want the title to be so I may just put it into my WIP album and work on it when it hits me. I am also 1/2 way through a LO c alled 'up close & personal' which shows her love for the camera and how she has to be about 1 ince from the lense at all times :) .. its very funny!

Ohh and I got 5 loads of washing sorted today. Its about 2 weeks worth as I just couldnt handle it last week and I have all her MCN folded and ready to be put away as well. Farmer wants a Wife finished tonight (and yes I watched it while folding the washing lol .. !) and aside from one that I didnt expect (Nick & Steph became Nick & Kristy) it was pretty much textbook. Poor Howie .. he is soo sweet and soo cute.. he needs a good country gal. I am not putting my hand up! .. happily married here!

Okay .. time for bed!

I am going to Create08 in Melb. I had been thinking about it seriously for a few days after I did that post saying I couldnt justify it and decided that hey its not everyday I get the chance to scrap & learn from someone who I admire greatly. So I bit the bullet, and have paid my $$ to go.. if you know anyone else that is going, I would love to have a friend or 2 before I get there (not that I have a problem meeting people, but I hate being alone lol)

now I need a countdown thingy to put on here so you can all count down with me ..

Ohhh I am soo excited!!!!!!!! I just did the hapy dance around the room complete with ugh boots, and flanny pyjamas .. such a good look but hey its cold here! :)

Another day .. another dirty nappy ..

Yes folks, thats more or less what my life has been reduced to for the past 3 weeks. hence why there hasnt been much of an update. Ever felt like its groundhog day.. well I get ya .. I truly do.

Have been doing a fair bit of scrapping for the past few weeks and even managed to see a few goodies on ebay but as usual the $$ went as quick as I got them. Damn paypal account makes it all too easy! A sleeps roughly 2 hr's in the AM and maybe 1 hr in the PM so I can scrap or I can clean my home - take a guess which one I do more of ?? lol

I have managed to do about a LO every 3 days and I guess I could say my mojo is back or is on its way back. The trick was to use a few LO's and half case them. I am enjoying it again and not stressing about it the way I use to on if it was worth publishing etc .. now its just for the family and to help me stay sane (I can only try!). I may scan a few to see if they are worthy of publishing BUT its not the be all and end all.

I have resigned myself to not being able to go to the Heidi Swapp Create08 workshop in Melb on Decemeber 16th. I WOULD LOVE TO but A) thats $240 that I cant justify even if it is HS and I will learn soo much and B) it means a 3 hour train trip to Melb from here and 2 nights in a hotel either side of the workshop day. So it turns out way more costly than just the $240. But if the money tree I planted in the backyard starts to grow at a tremendous pace or I suddenly get a massive windfall of $$ (ala tax) and there is a spot left, I will be buying my spot that instant ..

In the meantime, I hope to get back into doing Fiskars Demo's & Make& Takes at the Sale Playgroup, maybe Spotlight and hopefully a few other places in the next few weeks so that will at least keep me partly occupied.

Adison starts 1 day of CC next Thursday, so yes it means I have a baby-free day but it means I can go scrap with the girls at Longford again (wooohoo) without having to take a trailer for all the extra stuff that is needed for Adison. So it will be just myself and Stanley in the car and I might even get some scrapping done there. I dont need to justify why I am doing it, other than to say she needs the socialising with other kids her age and will be taught things I cant/dont know how to show her AND it means I may be a happier mummy again if I have some genuine 'me' time.

Speaking of scrapping/actually speaking of culling I am about to start culling some goodies from my embellies stash that I wont ever use so if you are after some freebies or know of a cause I can donate them to, drop me a message. All I ask is that you pay postage. It is a big mystery bag of goodies right now but it will contain some TLC goodies (I use to be a consultant back in my BC life) and a heap of stuff that is still good/new and just not used by me or about to be anytime soon.

I am enjoying alot of the new products on the market right now and wishing my $$ were more flush so I could buy .. but hey if I use what I have I can make room for more later on .. right ? by then bigger/better/prettier goodies will be out and I will covet them all too. Have this thing for birds/owls/deers right now. Too much of it around I think and I keep buying fat quarters of material with those sorts of designs on them.

Right now I have a few things on my wishlist:

MM Noteworthy 2 line (I have a few sheets of it but want a few others, and the spiral journalling book of papers - that I can see big plans for with a mini tin album as a special pressie)
Fiskars "A Little Bird's Tale' (love the papers in this line, and have used all mine up and the local Spotlight has sold out of them)
Fiskars 'Threading Water' Border Punch - have got this on preorder at Forever Always

Ohh and I am 1/2 way through making/sewing Adison a thinking blanket. Its about 16"x16" and will be great for her. It involves buttons, zips, words, and all the things she likes to touch. Once I have it done I will add some closeups on here for you to see.

I found sometime this afternoon for a quick blog update and to do a load of woolies washing. Yes, life has been that interesting lol ..

I want to do a whole post about her birthday bbq last weekend but need to do some work on the pics before I upload them and finish it off.

The biggest highlights of this weekend have my new vacuum. I got a Dyson. The old vacuum was horrible and I use to swear at it and kick it from room to room (prolly why it didnt work so well, now that I think about it) and it use to fill with junk and then turn off for 90 mins if it got too warm. So in came Dyson .. lets just say that I didnt have any idea the floors were soo dirty. ICKY!! .. now its 'almost' fun .. I said almost.

Speaking of icky things Adison and her accomplice in crime 'bunny' have been up to alot of mischief the past few days. She carries him around constantly by the arm and he is always there by or side or as is the case this weekend on the other side of the glass door having a bath. They have managed to go toilet dunking together, then they penetrated the barriers (baby gates) and went taste testing of the cats food (eeeuuuw indeed!). So he has been hanging up to dry an awful lot this weekend and she has been sitting underneath the drying spot crying for him to be released.

If anyone knows where I can get a bunny the same as this one (I have tried other similair toys but they arent the same). I would love to get another as a spare..

How can I have a 1 year old ??

It was 1 year & 1 day ago at 3.15am that I became a mum. I am not sure how the past year has managed to skip by at such an alarming rate but I have a feeling being continually occupied with all things baby may have something to do with it.

Anyways, yes Adison turned 1. She is still toothless, is crawling faster than I can walk and loves to be cuddled and kissed and has started to give them back. There is nothing like a sloppy open mouthed kiss to make you feel loved .. and I am talking about the ones from Adi not DH. :)

So we celebrated her birthday with some yummy cupcakes that I made using the Magnolia Bakeries recipe for Vanilla cupcakes. Lots of sugar & plenty of butter. Very rich & tasty. Its the same bakery that is in SITC and people rave about.

Saturday will see us having a houseful of ppl for a bbq. Here's hoping the weather is better than 12 degrees and raining like it has been for most of this week already. Just 1 day of sunshine would be nice but nice .. but hey it is Winter and this is Sale. There should be at least 7 bubs around her age and parents, Micks' cycling mates and my parents are driving over from Sydney for the weekend - thats a 13 hr drive each way!

While lots has been going on here, not much of it is blogworthy. Dh has started back with the next induction of students who are all keen to learn all that photography stuff so he is extra busy. Adison and I are exploring the local area and going on some 'brisk' walks while checking out new streets and seeing friends at Mums group or at the local shop ctr. Its a quiet life.

I hope to get some scrapping done this weekend, but hey I know what happens when I hope :)

All things domestic ..

Have had a big of a blogging absence but given that I dont have too many readers, it shouldnt be a big problem! :) .. life has been hectic and full-on. Its nice to be home.

I am not sure whats going on in the rest of the world but I have a big desire to learn how to knit.

I have tried it quite a few times and it has always ended up with a scarf with big holes in it but I am determined to give it another go. I would eventually like to make a pair of woolen pants for Adison simialir to these ones that a friend is making for her. I would like to learn how so I can make a few pairs for her myself! .. like I need another hobby! :)

Have been looking up 'how'to's and this one seems to explain it well, now to go to SL and get some needles and wool to practice with. Lots of 'how to's around but its about finding one that explains it best and the abbreviations fit in well with what I already remember (not much!).

This is the pattern I was thinking about using but baby steps.. I need to be able to knit confidently before tackling that sort of project! :)

I am scrapping up a storm at the moment, and I think its cause I have soo many nice pictures and want to see them all done before Adison is 1 next month (eeeeeeek!). Many of them will be put into frames and hopefully DH will 'find the time' to put them on the walls (lol .. as if!).

Time to Motor .. I want to go to Sl before it gets any later :)

Well its Saturday ..

My house is clean, the grumpy kitten (yes, my happy kitten has gone on strike) is taking her 3rd nap for the day and I am ready to go shopping. Yes, I am looking forward to going to Morwell - my life is sad. Its probably the biggest shop centre near me but it is still a 60km journey each way. The next biggest would be Fountain Gate (yes - that Fountain Gate!) but thats over an hour and a half away.

So I figured seeing as I need to collect Mum from Trlgon at 6.30 I may as well go and see whats at Morwell. Sure beats the local Centra Shop Centre. I can also go to Aldi and get some essentials .. yayyyy!! .. love Aldi almost as much as Ikea .. will be great when there is one within walking distance of my house!

Now the story of the toy-box and the kitten. FIL (Papa Barry) made bub a toy box a while ago. Its awesome and its holds lots. She has since discovered that she can open the lid so for about a week she did this and managed to get her fingers caught when the lid closed, it has a chain in the box but it was that fun playing with the chain so the last time (notice, how I said last ?) she dropped the lid with her head in the box and sconned herself really well on the bridge of her nose. It bled a really small amount but wasnt too bad. Did she cry ? .. absolutely! .. . She hasnt been near the toy box lid since .. I wonder why. Lesson learnt - until she does it again.

So for a few days she had this really nasty gash on her nose and I got the worst mum in the world award each time someone asked what happenned. The scab fell off last night before I even got a chance to take a pic of her first real injury. Now she has this pinky type mark on the spot and it wont leave a scar (hopefully). Will take that pic later when she wakes up .. if she smiles for me :)

So while I have everything done I did a more scrapping last night (while watching recorded episodes of Jericho - man I miss that show) and finished off rearranging my scrap space. It should be functional enough but I would soo love a bigger table!! but hey beggars cant be choosers and at least I dont have to pack it away when I am finished each time. I just need to remember to shut the baby gate to keep lil fingers and drooly mouths away from it all. She would love the magic spinning thing to much for words.

I promised Shirley at Longford Scrappers that I would finish of my calico art patches and need to get them done soon as I am away for a few days coming up and would love to have them done to take to LS on the 12th of June.

I found out from Nicole Wright/Anderson the proggy you can get to do a montage of your pics like Kim Archer does on her website and its called 'Jinky Art'. Now to find out how to get it.

I have to fly .. I am summoned :)

Friday ? already ? .. how did that happen ?

I dont remember this week .. its not because I was in a blissful drugged state and was not on this planet. Its more the lack of sleep caused by a baby that has decided to wake at least 3 times a night - and wants to be rocked to sleep.

Hubby is away for 2 weeks doing stuff somewhere (very secret squirrel) and it is up to me to run the house, be mum&dad and try and maintain some sanity. I dont know how single parents do it but I really do take my hat off to you all!

Needless to say despite that we have never rocked her, I have relented in my sleepless state for the past 2 nights by rocking really gently (I promise) and it has worked. I soo dont need it to become a habit for her to be like being settled like that. She has more or less self-settled since 12 weeks and slept through (ish) since about the same. I am blaming the teeth (or lack of them) .. like I do with everything else.

On the scrapping front, my clip-it-up arrived and it is organised. I REALLY didnt realise how much CRAP I had and my ambition for getting the majority of it on there was really just a big dream. As you may know I got it 2nd hand from a friend (Hi Jules!!) that had a new scrapping room built with drawers/shelves etc (yes, I am jealous) so it was no longer needed. I got it for $100 and it came with about 100 odd clips and some labels and tag thingys. I have had to buy another 3 packs of clips so yes it is pretty jam packed! .. I have over 80 clips on there that just hold the rub-ons and they are back-to-back to get them all on.

Have also started on a few projects (see this ribbon canvas one, that I sorta lifted from here) and need to get 1 of them finished in the next few days to take to Sydney with me for a dear friend I havent seen in 8 years.

My mum is coming to Sale for a week and arrives 2moro (eek) and I have a million things to do before collecting her at 6.30pm.

I hope to post again later, need to put the tale of the toybox and the nose in here for future rememberings.

all out .. all change!

well with the deactivating of tea4two felt food at wahmnaps.com I figured it was time for a blog overhaul. Out with the old.. in with the new and all that jazz.

Its funny ya know .. I have had 4 orders for felt food in the past few days but it hasnt swayed my decision to let tea4two felt food slide for a while. I realised I was putting too much time into what I was creating and not enough into being with my 10 month old DD or with DH. That is changing.

Winter has officially hit sale and it was a balmy -2 deg this morning when DH went for a ride with the local cycling group. Adison & I stayed home nice and warm in our respective beds and didnt rise until after 9am. Yes I know .. what can I say she likes her sleep!

Have been doing a bit of paper scrapping in the last few days and have to admit I am loving it. Loving getting my hands dirty with paint & ink and looove using up all my scraps to make cards. Loving just having paper and bits in my hands BUT it as always has cost some $$ as I just invested in a 2nd hand clip-it-up system so I can have my scrapping goodies all at hand. Cant wait for it to get here so I can get it all organised. Yes I am a bit of an organising freak, just ask my pantry where everything is labelled and in glass jars or hubby as I organised his closet for him when he was away at work last year. My dymo electric labeller is just awesome. I just need more tape now as it is out again lol'

I thought rather than post my felt goodies this time I am going to post my scrap/craft space. In a different life (before Kid) I had a room with built in cupboards and lots of space for everything but with a posting and with a baby comes an antique dresser which is my desk and stuff. CIU will make it all alot more streamlined for me.

I promise to take some pics of my spot and they will be along in the next few days, after CIU arrives and I am ready to take pics of it all. If anyone knows how to make those really great montages like on Nicole Anderson's blog, I would love to know how if you can tell me how :)

Thats it for now .. I hear someone caling out from her cot and babbling away. I love it when she wakes up happy! .. heres hoping shes not smelly as well :)

Wahmnaps Store is no longer ..

It is with regret and with some deep thinking that the tea4two wahmnaps store is about to be deactivated. There is a fair bit going on in my personal life right now and unfortunately the store was not generating as much traffic as I would have liked (wasnt even covering monthly fee to be honest).. so the store has been put on hold .. for now.

The deactivation goes live Saturday morning.. so until then you can get everything in the store at 50% off! .. go and make sure you snap up a bargain or 2.

Thats not to say that tea4two is totally dissappearing.. you can still buy anything you like through this blog. Any orders received (as always) receive a free gift and I am always open to custom orders.

Yes, I am a bit sad but come November, tea4two will be back on wahmnaps .. just in time for the silly season!

Maybe by then we will have sold our house in Adelaide and found one in Sale that we like just as much! .. any takers for a 4 bedroom place with everything ??? ..

ahhh life ..

winter is well and truly hitting us here in Sale right now but the cold is just a side effect of being able to sit on the couch and watch recorded shows on the topfield while I create with felt.

You know up until a year ago, I had only really used felt with scrapbooking to do flowers, tree branches or to just do stuff with it. I honestly dont know how I got along so long without creating felt stuffies or felt food. Yes, another addiction and my felt/paper cupboard is testament to this!

This weekend is all about family time and being a mum this year for the first time is certainly going to be nice. I have already spied the mushrooms in the kitchen and the makings for pancakes tomorrow morning with Mick will make on Adisons behalf. She is only 10 months and while she is very good at making a mess. I dont think she has the skills needed ! .. but will be helping in some form or another ..

I have been hinting for a Wii for a few weeks and while I know it is all about family and being a mum makes me immensley happy & loved & proud. Mick knows me well enough to know that a present that we can all take part in will be part of the fun! .. Wii fit may also help to loose these last 6 baby kilo's if I am diligent enough to take to it often enough. That is in between gym 3 times a week, baby full-time and all the other stuff I seem to get caught up in. and now doing Scrapping Rejuvanate sessions with the Sale Baptist Church once a week in conjunction with Fiskars as an ambassador!

I somehow managed to get all the custom projects & orders I had open finished this past week and am fresh & ready to start on some new ones! .. next cab off the rank is to get to a project I have been thinking of for a while. Felt Birthday Cale slices! Will try and get one complete in the next few days and post a pic to show you how it turned out!

More Later .. the troops are calling for lunch :)

soo excited!!

The main reason for all the excitement is that the GRAND opening of my store is tonight at 8pm .. tea4twofelt food..

We got home Saturday night after an 11hr drive from Adelaide with a 9month in the back seat that was really a good bub and played with her toys and slept most of the way (see how I said most!!). Gee its nice to be back sleeping in my own bed ... why it is so nice to be away but doubly (is that even a word ??) nice to get back to your own home, own bed and own stuff and not to be living out of a suitcase! lol

Now the itch to stitch has been satisfied (just for a moment).. I can finish off a few things that have been custom ordered and I can have a think about what I will sew next! If you have any ideas.. drop me a message! .. I am not short of them .. just would like to see what you want!

I think next month it may be hamburgers and french fries month! .. or fish& chips. Perfect winter (bad foods). Maybe I need to have a think about how I could do cup-a-soup lol

I have been whipping up a few things during the week as prototypes to go on for next month and a surprise one for tonite.. it hasnt been listed yet but it will be up before 8pm and one of you (you know who you are!!) will be pleased, surprised and happy! ..

Hope your trip to Malaysia is going well Erin and your spending up big (not so big in terms of Malay $$ though with the great exchange rate right now!!) on lots of great products and cottons. Cant wait to see what you come up with next! Erin also has a store online .. you can find it here ..

quick update!!

Sorry all I havent forgotten abut you all .. has been a bit hectic in the last week or so while we were still in Sydney. Lost net connection about half way through the week and had major withdrawals until Saturday when we got to Adelaide.

In case you were not aware, all items previewing in my store will be for sale on Thursday 1st of May 2008 at 8pm EST..

That date gives me enough time to get home, unpack and finish up a few more items to put up for sale as well.

Now the withdrawals are just for my felt and sewing gear .. but that will be fixed come Sunday.

Soo excited this morning, I am off to Ikea. Its my idea of a toy store as it is so full of colour and design and great OTP product ideas. I have my lost in hand, credit card in the other now just to wait for 11am to roll by so I can leave ..

AND .. I get a day out without DD .. she is staying wither her dad!!! .. Will be so nice!!

still missing my felt and some great news!

with the extra time I have on my hands (well, that is the time when Adison is asleep!). I finally got my wahmnaps store up and running and have a few things listed on preview. They will go live for purchase once I return home in a week and a bit.

I did get to SL the other day and as usual I loaded up a basket with lots of felt and other bits so I could play but decided a few minutes later that I would put it all back and just enjoy the time I have away from my sewing (how I'm suppose to enjoy it, when I miss it - I have no clue!) . So I am doing some digi-scrap stuff and creating some new felt templates for new menu items! ..

It would have also meant a few less extra things to try and fit into a suitcase as we are flying out for Adelaide on Saturday .. and well with a cloth nappied baby (itti bitti's are our fav) and a shopping addiction as Sale doesnt have a real decent shop ctr I need all the space and weight I can get. The last thing I want is to be over the limit !

The digi-scrapping is great fun and while I love paper/traditional scrapping and the texture and messy factors it can bring when you add paint, ink, and all manner of messy things. Digi is great as it is as portable as my laptop. Given that I wont have net access for a few days after tomorrow, it gives me something else to do!

When I finish a few digi pages I will UL then but right now they are not quite ready enough.

Have been trawling the net for other websites that do felt food and I found a few but none that have a menu as full as mine hopes to be. Here are a few sites I found that I thought were interesting .. lots of ideas and sleepness nights have arisen from them :) .. been dreaming about making stuffies .. I need another addiction like a hole in my head!

Hi All

Welcome to my first post! I have taken a short break and have come to Sydney to visit my parents and help them move house. They are currently living in NSW and are about to start building a new place in QLD not far from my brother - but even futher away from Hubby & I in Sale, Vic lol - not sure if thats a good or bad thing! In the meantime they are moving into a 1 story 2 bedroom & study house from a 2 story 4 bedder while it is being built - not sure how they will make it all fit !!

Anyways, I didnt pack my felt or sewing supplies and am slowly going around the bend with ideas and things I want to create - itching to sew!!! . I may have to take a trip to SL 2moro and get some goodies so I can create and get some of these ideas out of my head!

Ideas that need to be listed so I dont forget what I want to do:
